![]() The Hearttakers would then withdraw to heal the wounded and prepare for the next assault.ĭawnraisers: The Dawnraisers swore oaths to expose and destroy evil in all its form. In battle, the Hearttakers would throw themselves at the enemy with near-suicidal recklessness, overwhelming the Voidbringers and throwing their battle lines in disarray before other Radiants moved in and consolidated their gains. Each Hearttaker had to prove they could handle the responsibility of holding such destructive power before they could swear the next oath. Hearttakers unlocked their powers as they swore more oaths a squire could hold Stormlight but not surgebind, while a Knight who had bonded to a spren could initially only use Division very weakly. In fact, many criminals were sent to become Hearttaker squires, a notoriously dangerous role in the Radiant armies, as an alternative to imprisonment or execution. Often, those who swore the oaths to become Hearttakers did so as a way of atoning for their past misdeeds. Wielding the surges of Progression and Division, they swore oaths to accept responsibility for their actions. Hearttakers: The order of the Hearttakers embodied the dichotomy between life and death. Worldmenders swore oaths to show mercy and bring healing to the broken. Some say that the Worldmenders possessed even more amazing powers, abilities they only used in times of greatest need and only around other Knights Radiant. The Worldmenders caused devastated fields to flourish, healed the sick and injured, brought harmony where strife threatened the survival of civilization, and raised up leaders who became great kings and highprinces. The Worldmenders were legendary for wandering Roshar after every Desolation, bringing healing to the broken land. Many of their abilities are not fully understood, but it is believed that they could use their abilities on a Spiritual level as well as Physical. Unlike the other nine orders, only three Worldmenders ever existed at one time, and the use of their surges manifested differently when compared to the orders they shared those surges with. Worldmenders: Wielding the surgers of Adhesion and Progression, the Worldmenders were one of the most unique and mysterious of the ten Radiant orders. Here are all ten of my ideas for different Orders with the surges all mixed around. A couple days ago, I posted two ideas I had for orders with different pairings of surges, and got some good feedback. Recently, I was wondering what the Radiant Orders might be like if the pairing of Surges was different than the 10 pairs 2 we have in canon.
